At Hale Advisors, we take women’s issues seriously. In addition to volunteering and in-kind projects, we donate one percent of our yearly revenue to organizations that directly influence the lives of women and girls. We believe that extending a “third hand” to those in need is part of our social responsibility as entrepreneurs and human beings. Running a business is integral to living in a civil society, and when woman are empowered to live and work in the community, everyone benefits and everyone thrives.

Beyond our yearly 1 percent donation…

We designed a large-scale infographic to commemorate the ten-year anniversary of Carve for a Cause, a community fundraiser that raises money for local charity organizations that help food-insecure families or women and children seeking refuge from domestic violence.

The People’s Place provides assistance to Ulster County’s working poor, elderly, unemployed, or mentally challenged communities. We teamed with People’s Place to provide “Hale Essentials,” such as feminine hygiene products, shampoo and conditioner, razors and bar soap, to underserved women and girls in the community.

Girls Inc. of Ulster and Dutchess Counties is a program of YWCA Ulster County that provides advocacy, services, & education for women, children & families. Girls Inc. empowers all girls to be what they are — strong, smart, and bold. We helped develop and launch their website.

End Violence Against Women Worldwide

Founded by Eve Ensler, One Billion Rising is the biggest mass action to end violence against women in human history. We held the inaugural Ulster County One Billing Rising event in 2013. There were more than two-hundred attendees, and we raised over $2000 for Washbourne House, a not-for-profit that provides alternatives to those living with domestic violence.

Mobilizing Women to Help Each Other

An organization that supports woman to woman mentoring, we came on board to advise with marketing planning and strategy, which resulted in a rebranding effort that transformed what was once The United Way Hope Fund to the more aptly and appropriately named —Raising Hope .

Girls Education & Empowerment

We feel strongly about this organization, which dedicates itself to every girl in the world reaching her fullest potential. We promoted the 2014 fall screening of Girl Rising, a documentary film which drew over two-hundred attendees. This helped raise awareness of local Girls Inc. and brought more attention to Washbourne House, a not-for-profit that provides alternatives to those living with domestic violence.

Safe Shelter for Domestic Violence Victims

The Washbourne House offers resources and alternatives to those living with domestic violence. We helped design and launch their website, and we worked on their year-end newsletter, which focused on securing donations in order to foster continued growth of the organization.
